Rant Box: Chelsea v Everton
By: Jack |This is the big one, my friends.
FA Cup Final. At Wembley. Against Everton.
The final match of the season. The final match of Guus Hiddink’s initial tenure with the Blues.
What else do you need? How about a trophy presentation following the final whistle? Me likes.
Don’t engrave Chelsea’s name on that piece of hardware just yet, however.
Everton [...]
FA Cup buildup: A message from Guus
By: Jack |Via the Chelsea official Web site…
“Back in March, just one month after I started working at Chelsea, supporters from the Fans’ Forum came to visit us at Cobham.
I can remember the supporters telling me then that although they knew we were trying hard to win the Premier League and the Champions League, we should not [...]
Deep Thoughts: CL Final
By: Jack |At least we were better than the champions of Europe, eh?
Nico is golden.
By: Jack |I believe congratulations are in order.
Big Up to Chelsea forward Nicolas Anelka for securing the Premier League’s Golden Boot on Sunday against Sunderland. Ancelotti “would love to coach Chelsea”
By: Jack |Yes, the AC Milan boss said he would love to be a part of Roman’s army at a news conference today in Italy. But only after stating he was “100% certain that I will still be at Milan next year.”
Wait, what? I’m sooo confused.
Here’s the transcript: “I am a little tired talking about these things. [...]
Congratulations Super Frank!
By: Jack |You’ve been named the inaugural Chelsea Offside Player of the Year. In a landslide, Lampard received 66 percent of the vote in my recent poll (117 out of 1177 total votes). Nicolas Anelka and Obi-Wan (WTH?) were joint second with 12 votes each.
Congrats, Frank. A well-deserved honor to be sure. Thanks to everyone for voting!
2009 Chelsea awards roundup
By: Jack |The club held its annual awards banquet Thursday and, to no surprise whatsoever, Frank Lampard was named Chelsea Player of the Year by the fans. It’s the first time in club history a player has won the award three times.
Super Frank was honored in 2004 and 2005. He has featured in every Premier League game [...]
