FA Youth Cup: Date set for Fifth Round

The next match of the FA Youth Cup for our U18 side is rapidly approaching, as the date for the fifth round has finally been announced!

The youth boys will take on Barnsley on Friday, February 11th at Stamford Bridge at 7pm GMT – here’s hoping for another turnout of 7,000 fans! Maybe this time some old lady will actually hit Carlo with her purse.

Barnsley was kind enough to dispose of Spurs in the Cup in December with a score of 3-1, and more recently brushed aside Rushden and Diamonds, 4-0. So Barnsley are certainly not goal-shy and haven’t been conceding much either. It should be a great match.

Milan Lalkovic, our two-goal hero against Arsenal in the last round, has overcome a hamstring problem and added to his tally against the Gooners with a goal for the reserves in a 2-2 draw yesterday (assisted by another member of the youth squad, Billy Clifford). Young Josh also seems likely to take part as our first-teamers don’t play until Monday the 14th.
