crest.jpgNo sooner had the ink dried on the release of the Premiership football fixtures the TV schedulers that run our nation’s game for the benefit of ‘Mr and Mrs Armchair supporter,’ were busy at work re-arranging the early season fixtures for the Blues.

The first game of the season at home to Birmingham City has been moved to Sunday 12th August with a 1.30pm (UK time) kickoff. The away game at Liverpool has been switched to Sunday 19th August, kick off 4.00pm (UK time). The away game at Aston Villa will now be played on Sunday 2nd September, kick off at 4pm.

The home game against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday September 15th is now a 5.15pm (UK time) kickoff and the following weekend the away game against the Champions has been moved to Sunday kicking off at 4.00pm (UK time).

The away game at Derby County on Saturday 24th November will kick off at 5.15pm (UK time)

A couple of games have had their dates change but are not scheduled for TV are the away game at Reading will be played on Wednesday 15th August, kick off 8pm (UK time) and Bolton Wanderers away will now kick off on Sunday 7th October at 3pm (UK time).

As I write this, the squad out in Los Angeles are going through their paces with their first training session of the season and the first of two sessions today. Missing from the sessions are Lassana Diarra who has stayed behind in London due to personal reasons and also staying behind is Khalid Boulahrouz who is subject of interest from several clubs and looks to be the next player to leave Chelsea within the next few days.

There has been lots of speculation that Arjen Robben is leaving to join Madrid, especially more since Malouda has signed, but as far as I am aware he is part of the US tour and has allegedly said that he wants to fight for his place.

Don’t forget Chelsea’s first match is against Club America which kicks off 2am UK time, Sunday 15th July - News, scores, scorers and report will appear here.

    Thanks Andy,

I will check here. Tuesday Chelsea plays at the Home Deport Center. Today, the Home Depot Center opened the door to the public to see BECKAM’s first training with L.A. Galaxy.

Saturday will be a great match between Chelsea and Galaxy.

    Thanks Andy.

I did meet all CHELSEA PLAYERS last year. I took photos with Drogba, Terry, Lampard, Mourinho, Abrahmovich, SHEVA, Czech, Cudicini, Ferreira, and all the team. I went all 3 days to the training and had a chat with most of them. Mourinho was very friendly (despite seeing me wearing my MILAN jersey) ahhahaha.. But for England teams I cheer for CHELSEA so no problem. He knew I was there to meet my MILAN guy “SHEVA.” All Chelsea players were very nice and took enough time for photos, autographs and even talk to fans. This is why I LOVE CHELSEA… they were nice to all fans in UCLA.

    Hey Andy,

Monday Chelsea trained at the Home Depot Center. I am not sure whether they will train at UCLA on Wednesday. Let me know if you find out.

    Are you watching the game?????

Here is a BECKAMANIA time. It is good for US Soccer that Beckam now plays for L.A. Galaxy.

By the way, do you watch Italian soccer? I cheer for MILAN.

    Anna

Its unlikely that will have moved to the HDC. Its is likely that they will still be at the UCLA.

As I have already replied to elsewhere, I am in the UK not the U.S despite the U.S flag appearing on my every post and even I have trouble finding this sort of info out.

Just using my experiece of supporting Chelsea since 1966.

    Hey Andy,

Good news. I went to UCLA this morning to see CHELSEA‘S TRAINING and they were there! I brought all my photo from last year and they kindly autographed each one (John Terry, Lampard, Ferreira, SHEVA, Mourinho, Drogba, Czech, Cudicini) and took photos again. We At the beginning we were about 30. Then, when they finished the training the group increased to about 100s.

I had so much fun because had the chance to talk again in Italian with SHEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA hahahahahah.

Mourinho was very nice. I like him a lot.

Drogba… always a gentleman. and needless to say, our English Skipper hahahahah TERRYYYYYYY he is so nice, dedicating lot of time to fans as well as LAMPARD!!!!

oh well… then, I stayed for the TENNIS TOURNAMENT and saw the match JAMES BLAKE vs. Vincent Spadea; then MARAT SAFIN v. ….. any way, it was a long dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Take care…. remember tomorrow is the match with L.A. GALAXY.

Well what a day you had yesterday. So pleased for you!!!

It is doubtful that Chelsea will be training at UCLA today. They will more than likely rest up b4 the game against Galaxy tonight, a game that I am looking forward to even though it kicks off 2am UK time (Sunday morning).

Adam Chelsesa will not be training at UCLA on Saturday morning.

Andy, hope you wake up on time to watch the game. GO CHELSEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

PS: Indeed, I had a great time! I love Chelsea when they visit Los Angeles. All of the are very friendly with fans. Of course, SHEVA, my favorite guy because we can talk in Italian and Cudicini hahahaha DROGBA is a jewel. He is awesome. and PETER CZECH the most friendly with fans. He takes so much time signing autographs, taking photos WITHOUT hurry.

You are right. Friends living in Europe tell me that I am lucky to have not only 1 photo with one player, but several photos with the same player and even talking to them.

Here is almost like a ONE on ONE treatment. It is not the same fever they cause in England or any European country. Imagine, just going to UCLA training, only selected true Chelsea fans go to meet the guys. That is why we have time to take several photos and they even stop whenever the camera doesnt work. That is amazing!

Again, the one taking more time with fans and making sure they take photos is PETER CZECH with such nice attitude. JOHN TERRY also is great with fans. He takes it seriously and please each one. I have no complaint. Not even from Mourinho hahahahahah He autographed the photo we took last year and took 2 more yesterday with him.

I am not going to the stadium. Will watch the game on TV.

Does anyone know who the Chelsea girls were at the game? Are they soccer players or just there to promote the team?

I didn’t see any Chelsea girls, but I can only assume they were part of the Chelsea marketing/promotion Bandwagon. Chelsea had the ‘promotion’ girls before the All-Star game last year.

Hello Andy, Soccer Girl, Soccer Guy and Leo!

What a HOLLYWOOD SOCCER SHOW! Indeed, The previous on ESPN2 was just the icing on the cake. Beckham has not even PLAYED to his top but the marketing attraction is without match.

I really hope Beckam can help US to make soccer stronger.

Chelsea girls I did not see. Not even at the training, maybe they went to the ADIDAS store when Chelsea had the signing session.

Andy… indeed, I consider myself VERY VERY lucky having the chance to meet Chelsea players, Abrahmovich, and MOURINHO, plus all the photos I took with them. I imagine is not easy to have this closeness in England.

    GO CHELSEA …….
