Hold your breath: Lampard pulls out of friendly with thigh injury

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has flown back to England after sustaining a thigh injury on international duty in Qatar. Lampard was preparing for England’s friendly against Brazil this weekend.

Our beloved EBJT struck the winner five minutes from full time to lift England past Ukraine 2-1 in Wednesday’s World Cup 2010 qualifier at Wembley. The result ran England’s winning streak to five matches, keeping the Three Lions five points clear at the top of Group 6.
