This two men are one and the same.

Rant Box: Chelsea v Atletico Madrid

By: Jack | Comments 15 Comments

New Atletico manager Quique Flores remembers the Blue machine — well, Michael Essien — all too well. Furthermore, a win will take us through to the group stages. Oh, and Didier Drogba is back to terrorize Europe.
I’ll have that.

This man may be the fulcrum in 09-10. More on that later…

Lead up: Chelsea v Atletico Madrid

By: Jack | Comments No Comments

Who would have thought Chelsea would be hosting Atletico Madrid in the Champions League group stages, and the press would be viewing it as somewhat of a relief for the hosts. Wasn’t this side supposed to be the Blues’ main challengers in Group D?
That’s just how bad Madrid have been thus far this season. To [...]

Well done, Carlo

By: Jack | Comments 6 Comments

Chelsea may have won 1-0 at APOEL today, but it was from an acceptable performance. In fact, during the second half, it was quite unacceptable. Furthermore, I think you’d be hard pressed to deny the Cypriots a point following their inspiring display after the break.

Ancelotti seemed to agree with my assessment:
“I’m not satisfied,” CA said afterward. “I wanted [...]

This will be Chelsea’s — more importantly CA’s — first match since the 3-1 defeat away to Wigan on Saturday, the [...]

Rant Box: Chelsea v Porto

By: Jack | Comments 23 Comments

“The first objective is to arrive at the final.”
-Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti on this season’s Champions League
The journey begins Tuesday at Stamford Bridge. The Blues welcome FC Porto, a familiar opponent in this competition, to the Bridge for our Group D opener.

As pointed out by CA, anything less than a spot in the final will [...]

Poll: Will Ancelotti win the CL at Chelsea?

By: Jack | Comments 11 Comments

No doubt about it. Carlo Ancelotti was brought to Chelsea by Romes to win the Champions League. The man has two trophies, a third must be on the way to call his time in London a success.
So, I ask you, will Ancelotti capture the Champions League during his tenure at Stamford Bridge. It’s a tough [...]

Paddy Power refunds all bets on Chelsea

By: Jack | Comments 18 Comments

Hilarious stuff.
The folks at online betting site Paddy Power have decided to refund all bets placed on Chelsea for the match against Barcelona on Wednesday.
Here’s what the site’s blog had to say about the decision:
“We’re guessing most Chelsea fans are about as happy about last night’s goings on as Didier “IT’S A F**KING DISGRACE” Drogba. [...]
