Ben Haim lashes out, nobody cares
By: Jack | April 16th, 2008
Earlier this week, Chelsea reserve team star Tal Ben Haim was asked about his current role at the club. Predictably, he had some choice words for management.
“Jose Mourinho is the reason I came to Chelsea,” Ben Haim said. “And if I knew Avram Grant was going to be the coach I would have signed for another club. It was Jose who brought me here and no one except he and I know the conversation we had when he tried to sign me the first time a year ago last January.
“The fact is while Jose was the coach I played most of the games and people who know me know that I would not have come here to be a reserve. I knew nothing good would come for me with Grant as Chelsea coach.”
So, what kind of conversation did you and Mourinho have? Are you telling me he told you you were going to see consistant action? Nonsense. More like, “You will be fourth choice. Big Boss will pay big. I’m fantastic.”
Seriously, how many first-team appearances has this guy made for us? Thirteen. Yeah, I’d say his disdain is solidified wouldn’t you? Jog on.
Edit: Since his outburst, TBH has been fined two weeks wages. Hoorah.

While there is no doubt Ben Haim is never gonna be good enough for a first team spot at Chelsea, you can see his problem, and Grant is possibly the most uninspiring and undeserving coach in the EPL. Christ, how many managers are there in England who are better than him but with hundreds of times less resources…
I can’t even complain about him being tactically unastute..he’s not, he’s just a nothing.Posted from

remember when Torres turned him outside out earlier on in the season & slotted home for his first EPL goal? Ben Haim is PANTS!

Isn’t it ironic that both Grant and Ben Haim are from the same country? You’d think Ben Haim would be seeing action more often.

The problem with Chelsea buying this kind of player, and also Steve Sidwell, Scott Parker etc, is that they’re bought to be Chelsea’s versions of Darren Fletcher, John O’Shea, Silvestre etc. The problem is, if you buy those kind of players who are used to playing every single match without exception, they can’t accept the lack of playing time.
