Chelsea Chasing Super Mario?

German international striker Mario Gomez has revealed that Chelsea has shown interest in his services. To be more specific, the 22-year old, currently plying his trade for Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart, said, “I know Chelsea scouts have watched matches.”
Gomez, at 6-foot-2, appears a possible replacement for Drogs if he is to have one in the summer. Personally, I’m a massive fan of Gomez. He’s an ideal fit for the 4-3-3, is proficient in front of goal with 23 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions thus far this season — Ruud anyone? — and is YOUNG. I’ve watched the kid play several times, and you have to love his work ethic, physicality and pace. Plus, have you seen him in Pro Evo??? The guy put in like 50+ in master league for me. Sign him up ASAP.
Also on the transfer front, Marseille’s official site reported that Chelsea scouts attended its 3-1 win over Zenit St. Petersburg. Yeah, along with about a half dozen other clubs. Still, Samir Nasri? Yes please.
