DC Chelsea
By: Andy | February 12th, 2007
Well if Arsenal can link up with MLS side Colorado Rapids and the Rapids are going to change their name to Colorado Arsenal, could another link up and name change be on the cards.
Reports suggest that Chelsea are looking to explore opportunities in the U.S with a tie up with MLS club DC United. It is reported that DC officials have already visited London to have talks with representatives of Chelsea and if agreement can be reached one of the major aspects of the tie-up (apart from the money) is to send the players of Chelsea to Washington to gain vital experience and learn the fine art of public relations.
So could it be we could soon see the Blue and White in America’s Capital?

If Chelsea want to take over the world they’ll have to conquer the American market too. Wouldn’t be a bad fit since DC United has had a lot of success in MLS.

The DC Blues would be a better name than the IMO dumb name of DC United. The “United” to me only works wuth the English teams and cities.
