Vote: Who Should Manage Chelsea
By: Jack | February 26th, 2008In light of Avram Grant’s recent, and well-documented shortcomings, I shall ask the question that must be on every Chelsea fan’s mind, who should be in control at Stamford Bridge (other than Roman noodles). In the transcendent words of one Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, vote or die.

Frank Rijkaard seems the most likely choice to me. Then again, I don’t actually know anything about football. I just madlib and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Sorry kids, but Jose isn’t coming back. If he’s eliminated from the choices, it looks like Rijkaard is the winner. Honestly, with Abramovich in charge, I wouldn’t dare try to predict it.

The guy f*cks up in the Carling Cup, and you want him gone? For real? That was the Blues’ first loss since Dec. 16. He picked the wrong team. Once. Cut the guy some slack.

I do believe that a big club like chelsea requires a world class coach. It does not make sense for a club to invest in world class players and then go for a coach with no track record whatsoever.I know it is near impossible for Jose to come back so the next best Man for me is frank Rijkaard.

i dont see jose coming back. It will either be rijkaard, tate is already their so it will make rijkaard easier to get. Guus Hiddink is also a huge possibility, he is currently managing russia for the euro08 and i can see roman getting him a fat contract. That said rijkaard will make for more interesting football. Hopefully we get a nice deal where drogba goes to barcelona and we get eto’o.

The status quo goes to show that you can’t just plug any warm body into the manager’s role at Chelsea (because of the talent) and have the side win titles. I think Guus Hiddink in intriguing. . .Rijkaard would be a fine choice as well.

Well Frank Rijkaad is a very fine choice, i see him fitting easily to cfc, champ league and premier league. but laso Guus Hindink is also a nice option too. btu still all this should be considered after this season, grant should be allowed to finish this.

Whoever is the best at managing people and ego’s. I don’t know who it is but I feel like that’s what we need primarily. After that, maybe someone who will be good tactically in the big games.

Grant is Mr A’s man and got a four year deal, but he has fucked up against Arsenal, Liverpool at home in the League and Tottingham in the Carling Cup - His first game against Man Utd can can’t.
I WOZ THERE WHEN WE WERE SHIT!!!!

And Mourinho leads them down the stretch! Can’t believe the man has 57 percent of the vote; I put him on just for the sake of discussion. I personally think Hiddink would be the guy. Thanks for voting guys.
