After much speculation, Chelsea finally signed this Nemanja Matic cat earlier in the week.

 

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve got nothing on the kid. All I know is he’s Serbian. And, at 6-foot-4, he may or may not be able to dunk a basketball. Teabags, son.

Going from what I’ve read, though, this appears a low risk move. At £1 million and change, it’s not as if we’re going to get Shevchenko’d. If he doesn’t pan out, no biggie; if he does, well play Arnesen.

He does appear versatile — can play anywhere across the middle — and has already earned a pair of senior caps for his country. From the videos, and we know how much you can learn from those youtube vids, he looks fairly nimble for a bigger guy.

  if only he was a super speedy winger.
  he’s automatic, systematic, hydromatic, why he’s greased lightning!!! ohh the fun we could of had…but we cant be too dogmatic sometimes its just mathematic, he cost 1.5 million. I guess it might be a bit symptomatic of fans to expect big names. Its important to be pragmatic and find players that could fit into the team and this makes it less problematic. Hopefully he isnt ashmatic otherwise his time here could be climatic and as long as he keeps his head down and isnt too dramatic. Ill stop now but i had more…the press will love this guy, puns galore.

  he’s in my fifa 09 manager mode team lol… but that team is shrewsbury and we are in league one! he’s rated like a 75 i think.
