Cech in contention for Tottenham match
Goalkeeper Petr Cech returned to training today following an extended layoff due to a reoccurring thigh injury. Cech completed the regular regimen along with reserve keepers Carlo Cudicini and Hilarious, and is in contention for a start Saturday at home against Tottenham. According to chelseafc.com, several reserves were also involved in the session, including returning loanees Jimmy Smith and Anthony Grant. Ben Sahar, who was rooted to the bench during Tuesday’s Carling Cup semifinal first leg against Everton, also participated.

Cashley interview: How big is he?
A recent interview with Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole is now up on chelseafc.com, and amongst the questionable content is Mr. Cole asking just how big fellow defender Alex is … “‘It is hard when you have JT out but Tal has come in and done well and Alex, how big is he? It is hard to get past him.” I bet it is hard Ashley.
