FA Cup Recap: Pizza Man does a Messi

The Blues marched past Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge 3-1 on Saturday, braced by a brace (whoa) from Frank Lampard. The goals represented Nos. 100 and 101 for the Chelsea midfielder, who put in a stellar shift alongside the worthlessness that is Steve Sidwell.
Huddersfield made things a bit interesting, displaying true grit in a performance that is worth praise. They even leveled the match just before halftime. However, they were simply outclassed in the second frame. Salomon Kalou capped the result in the 70th, set up beauitfully by — who else — Franky.
Other than Super Frank, both Wayne Bridge and Scott Sinclair highlighted the Chelsea performance. The Chelsea defender, whose tantrum this week regarding playing time clearly got through to Grant man, looked brilliant on the left side. Avram will surely have a hard time dislodging him at the moment. As for Sinclair, the guy I’ve been lobbying for finally got a nice run and proved himself worthy of the decision. He provided naturally width and was consistently involved in the buildup, including having a shot cleared off the line early in the first half.
Pizzzzzzzzzzarro took WTF to new heights in the 65th minute, when he actually realized he was South American. The Peruvian, then, sparked by his newfound epiphany, carved his way past some eight defenders — in the penalty area no less — before forcing a brilliant save from the Huddersfield keeper. It was certainly a sight to behold.
On to the quarterfinals I say.
