FA Cup update: It’s Coventry, then

By: Jack | February 26th, 2009

“Cookie, Cookie, Cookie! Cookies don’t do that to people.”
-Dave Chappelle

Coventry manager Chris “Cookie” Coleman is monstrously excited about the visit Chelsea are to make to Ricoh Arena on March 7 for an FA Cup sixth-round tie.

“It’s fantastic. I can’t wait,” said Coleman, whose Coventry side advanced thanks to a 1-0 win over Blackburn on Tuesday.

“Our fans deserve it. They’ve been brilliant with us this season. And if we’re on form like today, who knows what might happen?”

That’s true Chris. But, then again, isn’t that true of everything?

P.S. love the tired reference to our spending, especially considering you support Juventus.

Not entirely sure what the second part means, but you´ll have to forgive me on the first. You see, this is the first time Juventus has played Chelski (or an Italian club recently, to my recollection) in European competition, so it´s new news. Contrary to popular belief, the entire world does not follow the Premier League, so this is the first time I actually paid any attention to Chelski.

How many of you were fans before Abrahimovic? I´m going to go with 0.

What an idiot. You do realize we were in the CL before Romes — and will be after. Go stare at your poster of Thuram and get back to me.

I guess Mourinho’s lack of class rubbed off on all of you, eh?
