So Chelsea manager Avram Grant is seeking bigger, better trophies this season? Shocking. Regardless of his honesty, I’m not quite sure citing the competition as something Everton would rather win is a good idea. It’s not like we needed to hand the Toffees any bulletin board fodder, especially with this tie hanging from a thread. But possibly more worrisome is Grant’s childhood support of Liverpool. Goalkeeper Petr Cech welcomed a daughter into this fine world, with wife Martina, earlier today. Psychologically speaking, maybe this has been the reason for Cech’s inconsistency this season. We all saw how Tiger Woods played when his wife was expecting. So, now, maybe the best of Cech is set to re-surface — we can only hope.
Abelda seeking London move
