Injury News: Cech out for a month

News that we have all been dreading to hear…

Petr Cech has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a medial knee ligament injury suffered in training on Wednesday. Cue the “we’re dooooooooomed!” shrieks from the Chelsea fans. But also keep in mind that Hilario did do pretty well in preseason – if that makes you feel any better, which it probably will not.

That means Hilario or Turnbull could be in goal against a pretty freescoring Manchester United side in a few weeks. I remember a couple years ago against Liverpool when Cech was out with suspension and Hilario needed to step up and perform and he absolutely did. We’ll be hoping he can do the same again now.

I am sure everyone is with me in wishing Big Pete a very, very, VERY speedy recovery.

Get well soon Petr Cech. Jamie I'm afraid to say that we are screwed and i hope he doesnt pick up a minor knock after he returns which will rule him out longer and miss the United game. God bless us.

He still might be back in time for United as there is international break in the middle. We should be good against WBA and Norwich though. Sunderland will be a little tough if we don't have a fit back 4.

Of course, I forgot about the international break BEFORE the Manc match. Let's hope there are no setbacks for Cech then.
