Ivanovic Extends Contract to 2016

Our Serbian beast has no intention of abandoning ship despite our stuttering form of late or the appearance of new, young competition in central defense – he has signed on for five and a half more years as a Chelsea blue!

Despite rumors that he was unhappy playing as right back or that he was going to run off and join AC Milan or Sevilla, Ivanovic has finally put pen to paper and committed his long-term future to the Blues.

From the official website: “It is good news for me, it is a very big step for me in my career and I want to give my maximum and try to help Chelsea win a lot more trophies. These things take a little time but my first vision was always to stay with Chelsea, there were not a lot of problems because I wanted to stay, the club wanted me to stay and I want to thank everyone who helped with the deal, I am very happy with that.”

Bane will also celebrate his 100th cap for Chelsea on Monday against Fulham and hopefully will also extend his prolific goal-scoring record this season! How about a hat-trick this time?

defense definitely looking godly...now can we please sign some attacking midfielders/central midfielders so we can play some real football, preferably at bargain prices like we did for Bane. Thanks.

  • Massive, just massive news.

Bless him. Our defensive is looking very strong for the future!
