Justice is served.

I’m still too bitter to write about the Liverpool match. Damn that game!

However, at least there’s something positive to take away from it. Referee Mike Riley f**ked up. He said it himself. And the FA has agreed.

The Football Association today rescinded Frank Lampard’s red card, handed out by Riley during the second half of Sunday’s 2-0 loss at Anfield. Lampard swooped in with a sliding challenge to win the ball ahead of Xabi Alonso — and was rewarded with a kick to the ankle by Alonso and a red card. Pure nonsense. You don’t think so? Read James Lawton and get back to me.

Super Frank will now be available for the next three matches — against Hull, Aston Villa and Watford.

    Stupid.
If they did this they should have at least given it to Botsingwa.

and I’m sorry but I find Lampard swooped in with a sliding challenge to win the ball ahead of Xabi Alonso — and was rewarded with a kick to the ankle by Alonso and a red card
To be completely inaccurate. It was a harsh studs up tackle where his foot was completely off of the ground. Incredibly dangerous and could have snapped Alonso’s leg in half.

I think the question is do YOU have eyes?
He dove in recklessly and caught Alonso with his foot off the ground and studs up.
On top of that he didn’t even protest because he knew it was worthy of a red.

He might not have made full bone-crunching contact (thank goodness) but it was an incredibly dangerous challenge that’s unacceptable. If he had slid all the way his studs would have gone between the bottom of the shin guard and the top of the laces and broken all of those bones.

Why, then, did Riley admit he was wrong and the FA rescind it? Even Liverpool supporters are saying it was unwarranted. End of discussion. Take your scouser fanboy ass somewhere else — and, oh yeah, thanks for the hits bro!

I’m sorry, I actually despise Liverpool, and I am most definitely not a fanboy, so take your oil money and shove it up your ass, you Chelsea twat. So use your brain before you make a statement, because you’ve got no idea what you’re talking about.

this should simply not have been a red card. It was a fifty/fifty ball in the air, its not like alonso had possession and lampard went in with a studs up tackle. the ball was in the air and lampard clearly beat alonso to the ball, and his studs were not even in line to make contact with alonso as his studs were already pointing down and away from alonso after he made contact with the ball. The fact that alonso ended up kicking lampard’s ankle and not his studs points to the fact that lampard’s studs were not going to make contact with alonso; especially since he was easily gonna be first to the ball.

if lampard had been on course to hit alonso then perhaps i could see a red, the only reason there was contact though was because of alonso’s sideways wind-up to try and draw contact and hunt for a call

It wasn’t a 50/50 challenge Lampard got there early and got the ball a step or two before Alonso got there..Lampard didn’t make contact on Alonso, it was the other way around and Alonso rolled around like he got shot and got back up after the red card was shown. Lampard was In full control of his tackle..At the most both players shouldve gotten cautioned.

And if anyone is in need of changing a tampon, it’s you, since, as I said, you’re a sing-brain-celled mongoloid that can’t have an intelligent conversation nor make a coherent argument, so please go hang yourself and rid the world of one more problem.

This guy is hilarious. Did you really come back three separate times to make those comments? Thanks for the page hits, man. I think you’ve surpassed steven as my top viewer.
And, by the way, what argument do I need to make? I think Riley, the FA, every respected journalist in the UK and everyone who’s commented on this post — sans you and your pathetic rants — has done that for me.

mele has embarrassed himself beyond belief. good to see the FA used a little common sense and threw out the 3 match ban. too bad they cant do anything about the point riley lost us or the two he gained the charity case of england.

also, all liverpool supporters have admitted alonso played for the free kick. he joins the long list of divers at liverpool.. riera, mascherano, reina, torres and of course the biggest hypocrit scum on the planet. i dont see the need to even say the parasites name.
