there was just 1 bad call… the foul on drogba by abidal that wasn given…
none of the hand ball appeals were intentional… how do u expect defenders to move out of the way when they are so close to the striker.. and any football fan whose eyes arent covered by blue goo will agree that barca actually play beautiful football… unlike u lot

And maybe chelsea would get more decisions if drogba and malouda stopped diving and the likes of ballack and terry stop pressurising the referees…

I’m an Arsenal fan and i’ve never read a Chelsea blog before but i must admit i’m astounded by your reaction. Let’s put things simply I see enough teams like Blackburn and Bolton come to the grove to recognise masters in defensive football as Chelsea clearly were in the Nou Camp. Then you totally dominated the second leg, you can count Barcelona’s chances over the two legs not so much on one hand but on one finger. Anyone who says Barcelona are better equipped at playing great and attractive football better than Arsenal are deluded because they play against the weakest defences in the world week in week out. Chelsea proved this, and I must say i congratulate you for it. All the same I’m shocked your not far far more pissed off at the referee. I remember when we went out of the champions league to Liverpool in the quarter finals last year with refereeing decisions equally awful, but not quite as frequent, most blogs would put up pictures of the referees from both legs and caption them ‘cunts’. I witness enough missed chances from Ade not to say you’ve got to blame Drogba. Frankly, I’m not into any of this conspiracy shit though, you were well and truly robbed.

as a barca fan i admnit chelsea dominated the play that resulted in shots at goal, more “hold my breath” plays, and generally just took thier chances very well. but you guys have such a talented squad, why not come out an attack? every time you guys attacked today i thought you where going to score. i agree with kxevin, the ref sucked, but thats life.

personally i like the idea of this rivarly growing between our two clubs. how many champs leagues have we kicked each other out of now?

hopefully we can meet up next season and go at it again!

GOD THIS SUCKS, THE REF COULD HAVE AT LEAST GIVEN US ONE FAVORABLE CALL. HE COULD HAVE GIVEN A BOGUS RED CARD OR SOMETHING EARLY IN THE SECOND HALF SO WE COULD HAVE HAD ONE LESS BARCA DEFENDER TO COUNTER PAST AFTER OUR BAKER’S-DOZEN-IN-THE-BOX CLOSED THEIR EYES AND HOOFED LONG BALLS OUT. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE JUST IF WE WOULD HAVE WON 2-1 AFTER SCORING A MIRACLE SCREAMER ON OUR FIRST HALF-CHANCE OF THE ENTIRE TIE (NOT INCLUDING MARQUEZ’S GIFT TO DROGBA) …..AND THEN ADDING ANOTHER GOAL WITH A FLUKE HANDBALL PENALTY IN THE BOX THAT WOULDN”T HAVE AMOUNTED TO SHITE IF IT WASN’T HANDLED. MAYBE NEXT YEAR BIG ROMAN CAN USE HIS BILLIONS TO BUY THE CLUB A PAIR OF F%CKING TESTICLES. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE I CAN FIND CONSOLATION IN IS KNOWING THAT THE GLORY WE WERE “ROBBED” OF IS F%CKING PLASTIC ANYWAYS.

Checking in from cule land to say that you guys played us off the pitch. This is a cruel game sometimes. I was pretty sure that the wonder strike from Essien would get you through.

The refs missed penaltes in both legs, but I think we can all agree that he was shit tonight, from the absurd free kick awarded for the Alves/Malouda coming together to the Abidal straight red.

I wish it had been a clear-cut decision for someone, rather than people being able to blame the ref. I truly do. Your lads played their hearts out. Hats off to them. Seriously.
