MotM Poll: Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United

By: Jack | April 6th, 2011

Disturbingly inept on a night when Chelsea needed a renaissance. Now, only a performance for the ages will do.

I felt myself resigned to this result as soon as Jose Bosingwa misjudged the diagonal pass that freed Ryan Giggs, and led to another dagger from Wayne Rooney. It was that bad.

Another pivotal decision went against us in this competition. That, of course, is no cause for alarm. It’s the norm these days. Nevertheless, that would have masked what was another egregious display in a season ravaged by them.

Carlo has his work cut out for him to not only turn this tie around, but to save his job. I hope he has it in him – though his substitutions, both recently and Wednesday, suggest otherwise.

Still, there is hope. We are in a massive hole, but one that is hardly unassailable. Time to step up and be accounted for. Full match recap coming soon.

CA had to accept defeat gracefully as Chelsea' star and match winner Martin Atkinson couldn't make it SB and had to be replaced by Ladyboy as he was stuck in traffick..........

A United fan. You should realize that it should have been a tie. We had a legitimate penalty dismissed, and Lampard would not have missed that. Consider yourself lucky for getting away with a 1-0 win. Last time we beat you fair and square, and before you complain, Rooney should NOT have been playing last time. So take the bad with the good, it was your karma coming back to haunt you, that's why Luiz wasn't sent off.

its more like karma coming back to haunt you mate...last time you got a penalty that your own player admitted(ivanovic if you have chosen to forget)should not have been given.this time you had to pay back..

It's not karma coming back to haunt us. It was a legitimate penalty, given by a different ref in a different competition. We NEVER get any good calls in the CL, always against us. The ref last night disallowed a goal we scored on Juve AFTER it went a foot over the line. We should have had the penalty last night. No karma, the fact that we didn't get it is stupid.

Drogba and Torres' diving today was top notch
