Mutu told to pay up
By: Jack | August 2nd, 2009This week, the Court of Arbitration for Sport rejected Adrian Mutu’s appeal against an order to pay Chelsea damages after his sacking in 2004 for riding the white horse.
Having a snowcone. Dating the peruvian lady. Taking a sleigh ride. You get the idea.
Mutu, who was with the Blues for one season (03-04), now must cough up £14.7 million.
Pay up, trick. Does Mutu get part-ownership of Ribery if we fund the deal with his dough? HA.

He should retire from the game so he doesn’t have to pay. Then pull an Adriano and play ball back in Romania.

so you fired him, then fined him for getting fired? the fine is for “breach of contract”, which i assume is for him moving on with his career once his ban was served, and joining juventus. i’m not trying to rile anybody up, just looking for an explanation. to me, it sounds like having your cake and eating it too.

Seems like the ‘breach of contract’ would be the cocaine use itself?

Mutu was fined to compensate the transfer fee paid for him — which he compromised due to his drug use.
Obviously, the FA, FIFA, and the courts have agreed with us.

Just so that you all know, Ben Sahar scored a brace vs Liverpool in a game that ended 3-0 for Espanyol.

It was Chelsea’s sole decision to fine him, and more importantly Mutu had no say in his transfer fee, so why should he have to pay so much when Chelsea so clearly overpaid?

“In 1992, he was arrested and sent to prison[16] in a case of theft of government property: AVEKS-Komi sent a train containing 55 cisterns of diesel fuel, worth 3.8 million roubles, from the Ukhtinsk Oil Production Factory; Abramovich met the train in Moscow and resent the shipment to the Kaliningrad military base under a fake agreement, but the fuel arrived in Riga. Abramovich co-operated with the investigation, and the case was closed after the oil production factory was compensated by the diesel’s buyer, the Latvian-US company, Chikora International.”
Never the less, if he had to pay all what Chelsea paid him (salary) during his time at chelsea, it will be understandable in a way or another. But to pay the money Chelsea paid to buy him, is harsh. But that russian has contacts, he get it his way.

Trying to disregard most of the comments in this post, I could not overlook “suck a fuck.” Perhaps the funniest thing I have ever read on this blog.

I can’t wait until Juve gets knocked out of the Champions League this year so alessio can go harass people on another team’s blog.
