What. A. Game. Stand up and be applauded if you saw this result coming.
Branislav Ivanovic is now my new man crush.
Bring on the second leg.

    Jack-

Thanks for stopping by the Liv v Che Liveblog. What a riot!

We already knew that defense-in-the-box, per se, was not in Gerrard’s job description, but his marking of Ivanovic (as depicted above) was not the marking of a teammate who cares.

I know us Chelsea and United fans rarely agree, but I think we can all agree that zonal marking rarely works, and for this reason Liverpool should continue to use it.

Great game, fuck the Scousers. I was also expecting/hoping for a tie of somewhat, but this is awesome.

After their first goal, Chelsea had plenty of chances, and rightfully got the win.

    CAREFREE

Really well done today, played Liverpool right off the pitch. Not fond of the “fuck Liverscum” and “scousers are gay lolz” but I suppose that comes with the thumping. Big slice of humble pie for Liverpool.

compared to how the Blues can perform, in comparison, they didn’t play well .. remember how they were playing at the beginning of the season? had Drogba taken his chances (for example) the score would have been a real embarrassment ..
