John Terry plunders a first-half goal against the atrocious United States during Tuesday’s international friendly at New Wembley.
From Barry Glendenning’s MBM on The Guardian: He celebrates as if he’s just scored the winning penalty in a Champions League final shoot-out. He must have seen somebody do it once, because I can’t think how else he’d know what to do.
Too soon BG, too soon.

He is such a great finisher in the air. It looked a lot like his block in the second half of the CL final, where he was in front of the ball, craned his neck around sideways and headed it hard to the left. Nice little bit of redemption for Terry.

So sad that the U.S. played like a bunch of children playing against their idols. They showed a complete lack of creativity once again, along with awful first touches. The U.S. has to stop waiting for a play to happen and make one.
It was great that Terry got the goal, although I think his apology was a bit unnecessary. That slip could have happened to anyone.

terry’s apology was unnecessary for sure - but it goes to show how much of a commitment it is for the man. he knows it was unnecessary and that anyone could have slipped like he did, but regardless, he failed when he should have succeeded and that’s why he feels terrible. it appears that everything about him is bionic except his heart!
