Poll: Should Chelsea sign a replacement for Essien?
By: Jack | September 18th, 2008So Michael Essien is out for six months. Chelsea staff: Why don’t we just sit him for the rest of the season to make sure he’s healhty. Anyway, rumors are floating around that the Blues are looking to ink a short-term replacement for the Ghanaian dynamo. A few names are being mentioned. The first is Essien’s teammate with Ghana, 27-year-old free agent Stephen Appiah. The other, Mineiro, is a 33-year-old Brazilian who was recently released by Hertha Berlin. Hell, even PSG’s Stephane Sessegnon is being thrown around as a possibility.
So, my question is, do we even need to sign anyone? If we do, who do you prefer. Let me know people.
