Is it just me? Or does anybody doesn't give a ball to torres?

My thought's exactly.
On every breakaway, it seemed that the option that didn't involve linking up with Torres was taken.

He's is very patient, making run after run and getting kind of ignored at the end there by malouda, kalou. Did you see how open he was to Lampard's left on his 2nd goal? Granted, Lamps needs to get his scoring legs on, but damn, a square ball to Torres there is an easy tap in.

It certainly seemed that way, at least in the second half. Agendas (see Kalou) may well be in the cards? Worrying.

That wasn't pretty. The 4-4-2 is such a hit/miss formation. More miss.

Again too much space between the lines. Neither Lampard nor Essien have shown the disciplined to drop, leaving Terry and Luiz to mop up - and be drawn out of position in the process.

Is there any merit to the idea that David Luiz could be more of a defensive midfielder than a center back?

I don't know to be honest. Why move someone from their obvious natural position? People around here don't like Mikel, but I do and still believe he should be involved.

Mikel is a yellow card magnet, yes, but he does a very good job of shielding the back four. He also gives freedom to lampard and sometimes essien because he does the "dirty job". It's funny how people don't appreciate his contribution over the years.

Halftime 1:0. Not much done offensively in the 1st half. Midifield nonexistent and Torres has received zero service and hence his absence. Nothing seems to connect. We are lucky not to have conceded!
