Is it just me or is it when things don’t start going Barca’s way they start kicking off. Alves for example every time he got tackled he cried and cried until Mummy wouldn’t give him the attention. Or YaYa Toure (you know him outta Star Wars) couldn’t keep his mouth shut, till he got booked!!!

Anyway I will be at The Bridge next Wednesday – should be a betta night than Liverpool. Can’t wait

    COME ON CHELSEA

If yall really think this result is in your favor then your really really wrong………BARCA WILL SCORE EVENTUALLY AND THEN U WILL HAVE TO SCORE TWICE…Should be an open game for Barca’s taking. This is our game to lose not Chelsea’s to win.

P.s-What a pathetic show of football that was….Are you really a football club or a bank??

chelsea certainly executed their plan well, which was to save it for samford bridge. i was a little disappointed, as is barca fan above, that chelsea didn’t really seem interested in playing football tonight. i guess we’ll see what happens in london.

ok we shall see who has the last laugh……cuz unlike your club we blame ourselves for our mistakes instead of putting it on some else……and yes that was not football, that was just over-grown men kicking a round object high into the stands.

since when has chelsea ever blamed others for mistakes? you’re the one trolling chelsea’s offside because you’re pissed your “attacking juggernaut” couldn’t net a goal! here’s a thought: get the fuck over it. barca is well known as one of the best attacking sides in the world, if not the best attacking side. you’d have to be an idiot to just let them get into their rhythm of attack and let them have at your defense.

chelsea set out to do one thing: not let barca play their game. and that is exactly what we did, and that is why we drew 0-0. and now to the fortress that is stamford bridge. barca may be one of the best attacking sides in the world, but no one in their right mind would bet against chelsea at home, especially without ronaldinho’s magic.

firstly i like to congratulate chelsea for their excellent defending in tonights game. It is somewhat funny to me that with all the banter about the EPL being the best league in the world and the top four english sides dominating europe, that last years champions league winner and runners up both have to opt for the most anti-football tactics when playing against barcelona. I think chelsea supports should all be unhappy with the tactics employed in tonights game as we all know that they can play an attacking style yet resort to gutter football instead.

Gutter football? It was negative, but certainly not atrocious stuff.

Plus, we had the best chance of the match — regardless how it was presented to us.

And, I agree, this result is a dangerous one for us.

What, exactly, is “anti-football”? I didn’t see any Chelsea players out there with cricket bats. That was football, just not the way that Barca wanted to play it, but we’re hardly out of the woods yet. This could take another 120 minutes at the Bridge.

‘anti-football’ is when a team goes out to defend for 90min and play for a draw…with no intention of attack. Its usually utilised by technically ungifted teams such as those that dwell on the bottom of the table.

Chelsea always rely on someone to carry them over the top if its now money then its this type of football.

and Finnegan there are also Chelsea fans on the Barca blog talking trash as well. All in good fun.

P.s-The Bridge isn’t a fortress as it used to be…and this weekend yall going to get some serious injuries.No1 ever plays barca and get no consequences……..

you have no idea ‘barca fan’. we rely on money? you realise the squad barcelona has is just as expensive as ours…? i get the impression you’ve been watching football for a couple years so ill go easy on you. our tactics worked well, now lets bring on the second leg!

what a ridiculous match. you’d think that after assembling hundreds of millions of dollars worth of talent Chelsea would actually play some football instead of build a wall in front of the goal for 90 minutes. pathetic.

yes, Barca deserve blame for not being able to put one in the net, but Chelsea played a complete bullsh*t brand of football, which i thought went out the door with Mourinho.

Is there a room for reasoning?
Let’s put things straight, both Barcelona fans and Chelsea fans are not judging objectively. And it is coming from a Barcelona fan.
    - Barcelona fans: Complain that Chelsea played defensive game (which is not anti football by the way as long as you don’t tackle the opponent to death). Every team is free to play the way they want. Chelsea can’t force Barcelona to play defensive and there is no right for Barcelona to dictate how Chelsea must play. If Barcelona failed to break down that tactic, it’s their problem (My team problem). To cut it short, I already made my point about this issue in my last comment in following link (few days ago) and I will stick to it:
    http://barcelona.theoffside.com/nonsense/thoughts-on-other-peoples-thoughts-the-value-of-winning-titles.html
    - Chelsea fans: Now to say that Chelsea played Brilliantly is a huge exaggeration. First it is not true that Chelsea had the clearest chance (Drogba) while Barcelona players were roaming around non sense. Who say that, ignore eto’o chance that was –at least- as dangerous as that of drogba. Aside that one Barcelona had 4 clear balls in the box, and a Denied penalty. You can’t expect more than that amount of scoring opportunities in Cl semi final. Barcelona failed to score, rather than Chelsea succeeded to prevent them (aside of the keeper). Barcelona threat compared to the quality players Chelsea invested to defend was reasonable, not at its best, but not as bad as claimed. Keeping in mind the stupid league Fixtures in Spain and everything (not as an excuse, but to complete the picture to judge the team quality fairly). So, saying that Barcelona in this game proved being over rated is as stupid as not knowing how stupid it is to say so.
Yet I can’t deny being disappointed by Chelsea tactics. Not for being unfair/wrong/anti football. But Because I insist they were able to use their resources to play the way teams like Getafe cant. The tactics played made the difference in quality between Getafe and Chelsea vanish(Getafe were even more impressive against Barcelona over two games- and don’t throw the league difference systems shit ) . You have the players to press Barcelona defense, to generate counters, to dictate a battle in the midfield and not on the edge of your box. Chelsea can’t feel that proud (as the comments expressed) after finishing a game with 30 % possession. Unless if that team in its own fans eyes is not as big as I see it. That’s a game Getafe (with respect) can hail as Glory! glory! !! For Chelsea, it’s a game where Barcelona failed to win, not that Chelsea succeeded to contain. The return has to be different, we are talking about the best four teams in the best competition in the world, we must be more demanding.

    Forgive my ignorance.

Zach, u think that Chelsea have done something extradinary. They havent. It was a 0-0 draw. How is this going to make a difference? Away games and home games differ ever so slightly in the modern age so what’s going to stop Barca smashing the stuffing out of Chelsea at home? Another 11 man wall? Another ‘parked bus’ ? Sooner or later Chelsea is gong to actually commit some people up front and as soon as this happens Barcelona will slice through Chelsea’s defence like a hot knife through butter. VIVA BARCA!!!

Zach, do actually think that a draw (over emphasized) will stop Barca? Away games and home games do not make much of a differance in the modern age so what’s going to stop Barcelona winning at Stamford? Another 11 man wall? As soon as Chelsea commits men up front Barcelona will score and Chelsea will have to score at least a goal (and risk Terry slipping on his fat arse) or two and thats when theyll be in trouble. VIVA BARCA!!!

I personally think becoming the first team to stop Barca scoring at home this season, of all Barca’s season, is a rather big achievement psychologically.

Just as some of our supporters are perhaps underestimating Barca’s ability to attack, I think Barca are underestimating our ability to defend as well.

Commiting players forward is less dangerous if teams aren’t playing recklessly like Real Madrid.

Well 90 minutes and Additional time of the second legg in stamford bridge will tell jeorge. But i will advice Chelsea team not to come out to play, because if they try to come out to play bacca will score them more than how they score madrid. I trust my team i believe in them. Up Barcelona. God bless Barcelona FC and all Bacca Fans including me.
