Rant Box: Chelsea v Everton

By: Jack | April 21st, 2009

Man, it’s been a long couple of days. Sorry for the lack of posts.

Today, we’ll get a preview of the FA Cup final. Everton invade Stamford Bridge, fresh off ousting Manchester United in the cup semis on penalties. Well played, Toffees.

The Blues enter the match fresh off a fine win of their own, a 2-1 result against Arsenal in the copa de FA.

Everton grabbed a point earlier in the season against the Blues, a goalless piece of drivel at Goodison. This one should be tight as well.

Keep me posted on your thoughts — and feelings — before, during and after the match right here. KTBFFH

I know it’s tough to admit defeat, but there’s really no chance we were going to win the league, even before this match started. That being said I kinda wish we had started either some of the young guns (Di Santo) or at least rested some of the starters who play every single game. It’s been a pretty consistent lineup since Guus took control; a few minor changes but that’s been it.

I think he’s thinking about resting them against West Ham before the CL tie against Barca.
