Rant Box: Chelsea v Portsmouth
By: Jack | March 2nd, 2009Man, how great was that win against Wigan? Super Frank for PM.
Is it me or has the excitement returned to Chelsea Football Club? Under Scolari, it seemed — for me at least — that watching matches had become somewhat of a chore. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved seeing the club. But it was as if nothing, no matter how poor it got, could surprise me.

Now, with Hiddink pulling the strings, I’m overwhelmed with excitement when I see the blue of Chelsea. I’m back to expecting the best — and am receiving it in return. It’s truly a wonderful time to be a fan of the Blues.
Let’s hope this mystic run can continue today, when we travel to face another team under new management, Portsmouth. Fratton Park is no doubt a difficult place to play but, with the way we’re performing, nothing is out of the realm of possibility.
Damn, this reads like an motivational speech. I like it.
As always, keep me posted on your thoughts before, during and after the match.

Can they pull of a miracle and win their last 11 matches?
Anything is possible with a new manager

I love seeing chelsea flourish the way they deserve to. the only problem is that now its late on in the season, and even a remarkable return to form might not be enough to overtake united. I certainly hope it is, but my hope for the future is that chelsea are able to maintain blistering pace from the moment the league starts the moment the trophy is in our hands, like we did in 04/05 and 05/06 when we literally ran away with the title.

Chelsea Victory! Liverpool is 2-0 at the moment, Chelsea should still be in 2nd place

That was tougher than I actually thought it would be. Regardless, three points to the cause.

Jack, I agree with you completely. I don’t know if I can heap all the blame on Scolari for the waning joy (in the club’s fortune and my interest) during his tenure, but the excitement and passion have certainly returned since he has been replaced. Drogba really mustn’t have got along with Filipao because he sure looks up to the job all of a sudden.
