I don't even think Sheff Utd thought they were real contenders to go down before the game and it took some strange results on the last day of the season. Didn't Everton pull off a shock comeback against Wimbledon or something late on to finish? I can't remember now - my only lasting memory of that particular day was the sight of grizzly, 25 stone Yorkshiremen crying as they made their way along Fulham Road and wanting to give them a hug :) It's never nice to be relegated. mattsmash is right.
