Rant Box: Manchester United v. Chelsea

All I can said is that there is a lot of emotion in this game. The
reason why he can miss that open goal probably is there is a lot of
emotion running through his head. I hope he put that behind as soon as
possible.

For someone who doesn't exactly score a goal a game, how in the deepest reaches of Blues hell do you miss that sitter Torres.........

Just an amazing game of football. No shame in our display apart from profligacy. We're only going to get better as well. 

I want so much to be able to love Torres without reservation...

Back to the basics, Andre. Line up the boys on the training ground on the edge of the area, pass them a ball and let them shoot. For 2 hours. Torres, Ramires, christ. I want to cry. Seriously. It's just awful. I feel so bad for Torres, the man had one of his best games in the Chelsea blue other than that.

Again, for my money, we've played well today. This is a one-off. Get Lukaku on, maybe Romeu, and work toward improvement through the center - namely without a certain Frank.

Frank should always be on the bench in the EPL.  He just isn't good enough anymore.

I just wonder why AVB or any other manager has never tried out 4-2-3-1 formation. Why make Torres feel so comfortable knowing he's way passed where he once was?

Mancs and Citeh have been doing extremely well this season because they have experimented and perfected that formation.

I'm with Seth. This is just an anomaly. We'll play much worse this season and win. I can't really figure this one out.

it's just ridiculous. Two clear offsides decisions, right in front of the assistant referee, and then the ball squirts to Rooney. Ramires somehow misses a sitter. While both offsides goals could have been prevented with some man marking, I really am shocked we are losing. We've played well, Mata and Sturridge both look good, Ramires is running nonstop, Torres has certainly looked worse. ManU are just fucking clinical. Just painful to watch them play so well and just get beaten over the head by a team that can do no wrong right now.

I was writing this just as Rooney plopped in the third: "People are going to look for excuses as to why we're down 2-0. Lest we forget we've played well in this first half. If not for some woeful finishing and a proper decision or two, we'd be ahead. Sure Mikel would have been in the mix for me - ahead of Lampard on this evidence - but I'm not really going to fault AVB."
