Romes spends $342 per minute on Chelsea

The worldwide leader — wait, that’s ESPN. Whatever — and it’s crack staff have crunched some numbers (1.2 repeating, of course) and come up with 342 bones, or clams or whatever you call them. That’s how much Roman Abramovich spends per minute on Chelsea. That’s around 240 pounds for your Brits and 270 euro for the rest of you people.
And we all were questioning his commitment to the club. What’s the big deal anyway? I mean, the United States government is spending something like 200,000 per minute on the Iraq war. I’d say Romes is getting one hell of a bargain.
