The 116-million dollar man
By: Jack | January 31st, 2008According to ESPN, Chelsea and Ronaldinho have agreed to a five-year, $116 million deal subject to the club and Barcelona agreeing a transfer fee. America’s sports leader cites The Sun as a source (hmmmm), but the story is nowhere to be found on the tabloid’s paper’s website. The supposed deal (clearly bollocks) would make the Brazlian sun bather the highest paid player in the world (later Becks). But really, who is actually buying into this? And, more importantly, why is ESPN reporting such a story?

ESPN has been pushing this story-line along for months. But the only thing I have ever seen of it is on the ticker along the bottom of the screen during UEFA matches on ESPN. They must have a source at Chelsea or Barca. But it seems their editors don’t know the difference between credible sources and complete rubbish.

Like you I’ve seen this garbage as far back as when ESPN was showing the women’s world cup. haven’t heard anything or seen anything about that story since. ESPN just needs to stick to showing UCL and leave football news alone

ESPN is a Mouse product, therefore, utterly worthless.
