FCN… henry didnt deserve a penalty in the first leg. ivanovic took the ball before he connected. henry was also on the way down before any contact from bosingwa. if you knew anything about football you’ll know that it wasnt a penalty but im guessing that you’ve been following football all of 5 minutes..

Zach you are wrong! Henry’s butt hits the ground before Inanovic’s right foot even touches the ball. Any person with an eye could see that. If I’m wrong please let me know. And if you don’t believe me I can provide you with a video link. What goes around comes around. Wasn’t that Part of Einstein’s theory of relativity?

One thing in soccer: Sometimes (for the right team only) you would be better off concede early than concede late.
For a passionate team like Chelsea, I strongly believe that if we have had conceded at around 60th minute mark, we could have easily thrown caution to the wind and we might have equalized and went on to win the match (extra-time)?
Chelsea is always strong in fighting-back-spirit, (Liverpool quarter-final?)
Conceding at 93 minute mark was heart-breaking as you have no chance even to utilize that spirit…And for the fans, that is brutal!!!!!
Soccer is a game of passion and sometimes desperation or death-wish-taker have led to success…
Always there is a dilemma to choose between being perfectionist-text-book-caution and going for broke…Posted from

“It is true that this injustices from referees has been happening for years. But the UEFA as a governing body to bribe referees to disadvantage one team, to benefit themselves has not been happening. That is new, and bad thing from UEFA. 80% of People in Africa had lost respect in UEFA as a ruling body. We are calling on FIFA to get involved, in this investigations. UEFA sucks and so does the board. We are calling on investigation to take place with the referee and UEFA as a board. The referee Tom, should be banned from Soccer. Barcelona should consider themselves lucky, because their mind games worked. Iniesta is like a woman on periods that complaints too much, so does Dani Alves. The English league is the best and their teams should be treated with respect. Why is Messi refuse to play in England, because he will look too bad in the EPL.

I think that despite the fact that Chelsea had more and better opportunities on the night,Barcalona deserved the equaliser, becouse of their attacking approach to the game.Yes, the referee’s decisions were mostly questionable, yet it should be realised that it affected both sides. Anyway,my team,Barcalona carried the day and I am happy for that.

Chelsea is a disgrace to EPL….Drogba is a disgrace to football….if Drogba wud hv done the same with Alex ferguson in charge…he wud hv been sent back to Ivory Coast by Alex. Dnt tk me as a ManU fan….i hate them as well. Drogba has no1 else but himself to blame…the amount of passion he showed in abusing the ref, had he shown atleast half of that in front of goal the ref decisions wud nt hv mattered. Drogba is 100 times more theatric than Ronaldo…he was faking injury and wasting time…Drogba is ur villain, he never performs in Big games…u lost CL final becuz of him and now the semi-final…and U ppl just dnt know how to play football….Guus Hiddink has a semi-final curse.

“Iniesta is like a woman on periods that complaints too much, so does Dani Alves.”
If Iniesta and Alves are like that, what more Anelka, Malouda, and most especially, Drogba?
Seriously guys. More intelligent comments, please.

Hiddink seems to forget what he said in 2002, after Korea matches against Spain… What a hypocrite.

You seem to have the market cornered on insults regarding peoples’ lack of footballing knowledge zach, well done.
Despite your best efforts Jack, it seems there is no cure for the pale, large-headed, power-alley induced rage. Buckle that chinstrap.

Hiddink to Italy/Spain in 2002- “Don’t complain about the referee. Mistakes happen”
Hiddink to Italy in 2006- “We tried to play exciting attacking football but they just parked the bus.”Oh, the irony.

The real irony is the fact that you’re in this post commenting on refereeing decisions. I mean, how many officials has Juve paid off in the past 50 years? Hilarious.

You should give it a try. A lot more cost-effective than buying 25 overpriced players.

Interesting read…
http://goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2009/05/07/1251450/cl-special-there-is-no-barcelona-chelsea-conspiracy-guus-hiddinksJust a summary:
“When people say it’s all very suspicious then I get rather angry,” roared Guus Hiddink on June 23, 2002.
“Italy and Spain should look at themselves and their shortcomings rather than the referee’s.
“It’s easy to go on blaming referees or linesmen. Of course they make mistakes, but coaches make mistakes, players make mistakes, and the press make mistakes. They go for you and against you.”

over priced? we just played the ‘world’s best side’ off the pitch so i think ‘ 25 over priced players’ is a stretch.. as for the penalty in leg one, i’ve already said there was no chance henry falling over deserved a spot kick. im just pointing out the obvious Ed, no offence.. anyway, unlike barcelona at least chelsea still have their integrity. bring on the FA cup!

Zach: when you say,”as for the penalty in leg one, i’ve already said there was no chance henry falling over deserved a spot kick” do you mean to say that he was not fouled inside the penalty box?

Booo Hooo…don’t play like a bunch of cowards next time and you might have a chance to advance. Just accept it, the world is not conspiring against Chelsea, Barca is just better than your team and that’s why were in the finals and your not!!! end of story

visca barça, you’re right… this is the truth.
Chelsea was like a bunch of cowards, 1-0 and it’s enough. Against one team like barcelona, all teams must try to score 2 goals at least… anyway this is not football…Posted from
