Worst possible group (for difficulty):
Chelsea
Real Madrid (I wouldn’t mind it now. We can show them how it’s done.)
Fiorentina
WolfsburgBest possible group (out of fun in addition to ease):
Chelsea
Rangers (Very friendly relations between the clubs’ fans)
Olympiakos
Unirea Urziceni (Dan Petrescu’s team!)/APOELAll the English ex-pats and tax exiles would love to see Chelsea in Cyprus. I predict somewhere in the middle. I’d love Real Madrid.

Really Carlo? Kalou is better than Sheva? In what context? In the context of foolish passes in the box, poor runs, or shots not on frame? He is better there.
As a big time avowed Sheva fan, maybe its time for him to split if he’s going to be treated like a leper.

Well on the Barcelonafootballblog.com moderated by Isaiah, Kxevin and Hector, not only did I get my respectful rebuttal comment to Isaiah(Thomas) and Hector censured but I was banned as well.
I guess there is no such thing as respectful Free Speech in Barcelona, regardless of viewpoint.
SHAME on BARCELONA and the moderators(Kevin,Isaiah,Hector) for censuring me and banning me as well.Posted from

Here are the respective comments of Isaiah and Hector:
Isaiah, on August 27th, 2009 at 12:58 pm Said:
I can’t stand John Terry. I don’t know why, but I feel irrational hatred towards him on several levels. I mean, maybe he’s a great guy, but he looks like the biggest prick in history.Hector, on August 27th, 2009 at 1:14 pm Said:
BTW How do you think the Man U and Chelsea players felt with all the re-runs of the Iniestazo at the Bridge and the Messi goal at the Final?
Awesome .Posted from

My respectful rebuttal was:
In defense of Mighty CHELSEA, I hope and pray that Chelsea meets lowly barca in the knockout round.
Chelsea will kill barca.

That blows Chelsea (referring to poster), and isn’t it Barca fans who come on our blog all the time, and brag all the time about the CL semi?

Agreed. The amount of random Barca fanboys that troll this blog is hilarious.

If i recall it wasnt the 1st time you had been trolling out there chelsea(the poster)…
Also dont be so sure you will crush Atleti, the Calderon is a fortress for them, fueled by their passionate fans. And they got knocked out last year despite not losing a group stage game or knockout round game.Theyre a dangerous side.

Chris, if you haven’t been to Porto, you should use this opportunity. Don’t say it’s “apparently a hole” and never been here (yes I live in Porto). It shows ignorance and arrogance. Come to the Dragon Stadium and witness live what I expect to be a great match. And enjoy the time to visit an almost 1000 years history city, and a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.
Take care and good luck with the Champions this year. But not too much…

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. Chelsea fans = Bitches. Such cry-babies. You retards should change the name of this blog to Day Care Center because your friend “Chelsea” there likes being a baby. You played your typical English cowardly football against a side that was against the ropes all game long and had only 10 men. You retards should only blame your stupid team for not taking the initiative to score more than 1 goal. But nooo, it’s our fault and we’re “cheaters”. Waaaaaaaaaaah waaah wah. Fuck Chelsea. Piss off already you fat english babies.

Sadly, one cannot reason with Lunatics. It was not my intention to instigate some of the hateful comments above, I was just respectfully complaining, which is my due right, to the Moderators of the Barcelona Blog for not allowing me to rebut their insults(Isaiah and Hector) toward My Chelsea ans subsequently deleting my comments and banning me(Kxevin).
No,Jordi I don’t troll on the Barcelona blog(unless you’ve concrete proof), and I have commented there only during the Chelsea vs Barca game after the “conspiracy”, and for the first time on their new blog today after Isaiah went his way to insult John Terry(I have never insulted Messi, Iniesta…and I respect all Barca players), and Hector rubbing salt to the wound.
I would have been okay with Barca fanboys criticizing Chelsea out of free speech and I would just ignore them as always, but I expect so much more from Blog Moderators (civil, impartial and respectful reasoning).I shamed only Isaiah, Kxevin and Hector for deleting and banning my respectful rebuttal commentary.
In the final analysis, football is about entertainment and blogs are there to allow fans to exchange opinions regardless of viewpoint or team allegiance as long as they are respectful, and Blog Moderators are to uphold that golden rule of respectful free speech.
I am not a liar,I am civil,I am respectful, I don’t incite hatred and I value humanity and character above all things.
So to all those who posted the hateful comments insulting Chelsea fans, Wise Up. There is more to life than soccer or being a Chelsea or Barca fan,and dehumanizing another fellow being or using insults is beyond pitiful, it is despicable, but I have no doubt you have no shame b/c of the anonymity that the Internet brings to you.
I hope you don’t come to learn too late in life that it is primordial to “treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.”
I have moved on, I will never go on the Barcelona Football Blog.
To Jack and the readers, I apologize for all of this, and
if you can, just delete the above hateful and insulting comments, and ban if you must disrespectful haters.
I love CHELSEA with all of my heart, and the players of the squad, and for pride and honor, I will always defend Chelsea FC.
Long Live CHELSEA FC!Posted from

In fairness, ‘Chelsea’, without doubting your integrity whatsoever, I don’t think calling Barca ‘lowly’ and then saying you hope we ‘kill’ them on a blog specifically designed for fans of that team is a particular respectful or insightful response to their comments!
Isaiah’s opinion on JT is irrational and ill-founded, as he freely admits, but somewhat understandable as an opposition fan, in the same way that I automatically assume someone in a Liverpool shirt is an idiot, even though a few of them may well be decent people. As he said, JT may well be (and is, in my opinion, although I’m obviously biased) a great guy.
I can’t make any comment on Hector, as I get the impression the context of his comment is reliant on something that was said but not mentioned. Unfortunately, I can understand why the moderators thought you were trolling. If only you’d spoken as you did in your last comment!
Jorge, I apologise for suggesting Porto is ‘a hole’. If you are a resident there, you certainly have more authority on the city’s beauty than I do. I’ve just read about the city on Wikipedia and it does look and sound like it has a lot of merit. All I was going by was what I have heard from fans who have been there before. Thank you for your polite response, and good luck to Porto also. I still hope we beat you at the Dragao though, for obvious reasons!

As for our draw, the most elegant way I’ve heard it described so far is:
Someone old (Porto, who we’ve met several times before), someone new (APOEL), something borrowed (Atletico Madrid, who I’m sure we’d have preferred someone else to get), something blue.
