History, History, History

I hate the end of the season, I hate the wait for the new season to start and we have still got two months before the double Cup Winners kick off again. Normally the press and media are buzzing about who Chelsea are going to buy and who Chelsea are going to sell, but in this close season things are so quiet!!!!
Well I can tell you is that I have renewed my season ticket, sorted.
Jose Mourinho is still at the club as is John Terry, who got married last Friday. Frank is too, but there still this uncertainty that he will be still with us when we kick off against Man Utd in the Community Shield at Wembley, the scene of our FA Cup triumph.
HISTORY as Chelsea became the first club to win the FA Cup Final at the ‘New’ Wembley.
HISTORY as Chelsea was the last team to win the FA Cup at the ‘old’ Wembley.
HISTORY, HISTORY, HISTORY!!!
Pizzaro has signed on a free (from Bayern Munich), as has Ben Haim (eventually from Bolton) plus Chelsea have taken on 10 youngsters for the Academy.
They are:-
Nicky Ahamed, a holding midfielder from North London
Niclas Heimann, Goalkeeper from Bayer Leverkusen
Jordan Hibbert, attacking midfielder from South London
Billy-Joe King, left-back from Surrey
Jacob Mellis, signed from Sheffield United
Adam Phillip, a striker
Daniel Philliskirk, signed from Oldham Athletic
Jack Saville from Reading
Jan Sebek another Goalkeeper from the Czech Republic wh is the same height already as Petr Cech
Jordan Tabor, a left back from Oxford.
This week Chelsea unveiled their new away shirt. It is an electric Yellow colour, based on Barcelona’s away kit to which Mr A took a fancy too and said ‘I want one.”
My birthday is up in just under a month I have instructed my family that “I want one too.” LOL
The fixtures for the new Premiership season were announced this week and Chelsea have a home game to start the season against newly promoted Birmingham City.
Following games are away at Reading (Hunt and Sonko) country, then Liverpool before Chelsea are at home again to Portsmouth. We play Man Utd away quite early so at least that gets the two games at Liverpool and Man Utd away quite early in the season.
Results that can be repaired quite easily if defeats come our way!!! Dont’t forget we only lost 3 times last season and still lost the title!!!
Ben Sahar’s European adventure with Israel is over after Israel lost to Portugal 4-0 in Holland last night.
Tonight England need to beat Serbia to guarantee qualification for the U 21’s semi-finals after two disappointing draws against the Czech Republic and Italy.

Mr Gooner (SPFC manager) -
Same to you? But, no, let me have pity. I will feel very sorry for you, if horrible things happen to your team, because what would you waste your time with then?
At least, Mr. A cared enough about our ‘history’ to keep our ground. Your historical Highbury is no more, your historical goalscorer is off to Barca, and your to-be-historical baby Spaniard midfielder is getting restless. Don’t overexert yourself, or you may become history soon enough.*pets*

RE: Chimbonda for GBP 12M
Chimbonda is an excellent, exciting, physical, young player. His size, power, and speed are impressive.
Although I could only dream of seeing every minute of every match, I believe Chimbonda bombed forward more for Wigan than he did for Tottenham. I believe his impact has not been clearly understood because he was asked to provide more cover and defend more.
That said, all of the money flying around — the Prem, Real Madrid, Barca, Valencia, Atlético de Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, InterMilan, and Bayern Munich — is absolutely absurd. Indeed, taking these factors into account, we should understand that Darren Bent is not worth GBP16.5, Hargreaves is not worth GBP20, Rio is not worth GBP32, Shevchenko is not worth GBP31, Torres is not worth GBP27, Barca and Madrid often overpay as well, although handbags among the rich and famous in the Prem allow them to uncover world-class re-treads. A lot of money is poured down the drain on young South Americans by Spanish teams with cash under pressure to improve.
