Man City v Chelsea

Now!! Unless you have been to ‘far far away land’ or pretending that you have been fighting the daleks with Dr Who , or even been in Star Wars, Chelsea tonight have their own Star Wars against Man City at the City of Manchester stadium, in a game that Chelsea SIMPLY have to win.

Anything other than a win tonight, Chelsea can seriously start to kiss that wonderful Premiership trophy goodbye as it heads North up the motorway to Man City’s neighbours.

Tonight is Chelsea’s game in hand. After tonight both Chelsea and Man Utd have NINE games to play and before Saturday’s matches every Chelsea fan will be hoping that the points difference will be down to SIX.

Seems to me that the FA and TV companies are doing their utmost to wrestle the grip of the Premiership trophy from Chelsea’s grasp as Man Utd have the early kick-off against their nemesis and near neighbours Bolton (who we must give a warm welcome to the Offside blogging team) on Saturday lunchtime. So even with a win tonight, there is a strong possibility that Chelsea could kick off their Saturday game against Sheff Utd STILL nine points behind, and thats before the FA Cup replay with Spurs two days after, on Monday still to game.

Oh my nerves.
