Rant Box: Chelsea v. Southend
By: Jack | January 13th, 2009Drogba’s been dumped and Uncle Phil doesn’t care, either. Actually, he doesn’t care about anything at the moment.
Who else is excited for the “game of the year”?!@?

I can’t lie, I’m not even remotely giddy about this match. Can you blame me? Following Sunday’s performance — if you can call it that — the Blues have took, what, six points from their last five matches. That’s about as grim as it gets.
Southend, at home, has all the momentum and every reason to send us packing. Will they? No comment.
The big news out of London is Scolari has dumped the Drogs for this match. The big Brazilian with little tactical sense is going to ride with Anelka, with whom he supposedly has a major rift. It’s all going off at the Bridge now, ain’t it?
Anyway, that’s all I got on this one. Sorry. I just can’t get excited right now. I’m numb. Help me.
Keep me posted on how you’re coping with our current struggles before, during and after the disappointment right here.

don’t worry mate, Chelsea will bounce back with a thumping win over Southend. I think the defeat by Man Utd will galvanize the team and we will regain our previous impeccable form.

Yeah, I’m hoping we do bounce back we usually do after getting raped..

The Blues might not win the Prem title but at least they are still in the FA Cup and Champions league. There is still hope. Need to get some players like Ballack back into form and we’ll be alright. And with the head case on the sideline maybe we can capture the form we showed earlier on. KTBFFH

Well…A man missing on the post and another goal from a set piece…

I think chelsea played well and professionally.. didnt get scared when they went a goal down (still experimenting on set play defense…). Ballack got a nice goal; I was happy with Kalou especially: a goal and two assists into space for anelka and lampard. Hopefully this game will be a spring board for the future…

Should of been like this the first time, but I’m happy with the result. Also happy with Kalou I’m glad to see him play well hopefully he’ll continue to play well against Stoke.

See, told you we would beat Southend. We should have done it first time around, we couldn’t be that woeful at finishing twice!
I’m predicting a decent run of form now, if the team aren’t motivated after being humiliated by Manure then nothing will.
