Shocking! It’s Liverpool v Chelsea
By: Jack | April 8th, 2008Noooooooooo. It can’t be. Oh, it is. It’s Scum v Chelski part 3!
It had to be didn’t it? Chelsea booked its place in the Champions League semifinals with a fugly 2-0 result over Fenerbahce at Stamford Bridge. Those scousers emerged victorious from a classic with the Arsenal, 5-3 on aggregate.

The Blues were hardly convincing, dominant early — with a Ballack header giving us the lead — but appaling for large periods until Essien picked out Lampard for the much-needed, and much-appreciated, second. Seriously, this was about as pleasurable to watch as a Liverpool-Chelsea match (damn).
Thank heavens for Hilarious, who bailed us out with a pair of spectacular saves moments apart midway through the second half to preserve our 1-0 lead at the time. Hilario, on for the injured Carloooo, proved to be man of the match for me. Is there a better third-choice keeper in the world?
Also, thanks to Michael Essien, who was superb before erasing it all in true idiotic fashion by picking up a yellow card late in the match for slamming the ball onto the ground. That now rules him out of the first leg against Liverpool; thanks guy!
So, any predictions for the semis?

God I hope this semi isn’t as boring as it seems it could be. I’m going Chelsea 3-2 aggregate; they’re due up against Liverpool….right?

Was the Essien yellow card the weakest ever? pity as the ref had let a lot of things go before that too.
Also Hilario worried me a bit with his return kicks after a pass back. Maybe he should learn to trap the ball first!Posted from

First, we should get out from goalkeeper crisis. Second, we should defend at all cost on first leg.
Chelsea 1 - 0 Liverpool agg.

That makes plenty of sense, considering he no longer plays for Liverpool.
