Poll: 2 CL titles in 5 years?

By: Jack | November 5th, 2009

The bald one, Peter Kenyon, set a goal of winning two Champions League crowns within a decade when he took over as Chelsea chief executive in 2004. Our new chief, Ron Gourlay is upping the stakes.

“Over the next five years we’ve still got to shoot for the stars,” Gourlay said. “I’d still like to think we can win the Champions League twice in the next five years. That might sound aggressive, but I think we can still do it.”

Whoa. Quite the goal-setting man aren’t ya, Ronnie?

What do you guys think: Can Chelsea win the CL twice in the next five years? Let me know.

    Just like Barca!! :P

In reality, yes it’s possible. No reasonable follower of football can doubt that Chelsea are capable of winning the CL. But the CL is a crapshoot and, while good teams usually make up the finals, all bets are off once they’re there.

I would love to say yes but the way the game is going just now the biggest stars will move to Spain and although Chelsea have a great team just now they will need to strengthen with younger players at some point and i just suppose it depends on the finance made available
