Yeah man, not everyday your team wins the Champions League, haha! Give Jack a break, will you?

-

Loved this recap (and every single typo! Hoping those are the result of a well-earned hangover!). I had pretty much the exact same thoughts running through my head throughout the match, which i watched in a bar evenly divided between sides. What a win! What a year!

-

Torres' comment is taken out of context.
Kudos again to Devin and Jack. What a year to remember!
When you start to grapple with the chain of events…

I just read torres interview, he can suck dick, you dont throw the team under the bus, the day after you win the CL, a team that has been extreamly patient with his preformance and tht has always encouraged him through out the season…

-

Take his comments as a grain of salt. Don't make much of them.
The news media, however, is known for sensationalizing stories, stating things “out of context” just to stir trouble, and blowing hot air.
Both Chelsea and Torres have suffered a great deal. Chelsea has spent tons of money on Torres, and Torres has underperformed (I think he attributes that to Chelsea's dysfunctional management, and the team not playing to a free-flowing style that has him as the focal point). He should not have done the interview. It's simply just better to shut up than to create a media feeding frenzy. Of course He should never forget how much the Chelsea fans, and his teammates have supported him, but I think he is looking for some sort of a denouement.
Anyway it's too early to deal with this now. Eventually there is going to be a thorough house cleaning over the summer.
Torres should just stay quiet instead of creating more enemies and critics, riling up even further his detractors, resulting in him falling out of favor with the few that wish him nothing but great success in Blue.

I want to give honourable mention to Mikel for an incredible performance. Not as big as ash, but he practically never gave up the ball, and dribbled past bayern players like they were nothing. subtle but fantastic performance in my eye, truly instrumental in the 4-2-3-1 setup. We would have straight out won it if we passed a little faster and more precise, like how Dortmund ripped them apart. There were a few opportunities that we could've done that but it seems players chose to take an extra touch or two and hold the ball back. I don't fault anyone for that because I'm fine with safety first and am a fan of composed, defensive performances (unlike some assclowns out there that mindless attacking is the only way to play).
got my glasses knocked off my face after Drogba's kick from everyone jumping up and down and throwing hands up in the air, but a pair of trampled glasses is nothing compared to witnessing history.

we are the spartacus of football….we are the bringer of rain( broought glory to chelsea)…..slayer of theokeles( we slayed valencia, bayern leverkusen, genk, napoli ,benfica, barcelona which is my personal favourite win and finally bayern munich)….the champion of capua ( we the champion of europe)…the defier death ( 3-1 to napoli in the first leg, it looked like doom)…..i jus love bein a chelsea fan….CHELSEA TILL DEATH DO US PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Chelsea fans and supporters everywhere have taken a lot of beating from so called aficionado who decry the performance displayed by Chelsea.
The anti-Chelsea blogosphere is full of bile directed towards Chelsea calling “May 19th the day football died”.
I don't think we will win ever win that conversation of “offensive vs defensive display”.
Quite frankly, Bayern and their fans who think the better and most deserving team lost are misguided. This Bayern Munich is not really that good. In fact, if we had our whole personnel we could have taken Bayern on. Their defensive capabilities are horrendous, and we could have scored a lot more if we had attacked them. Of course, attacking them would have left us even more vulnerable in defense.Interestingly Bayern retreated to a defensive scheme right after they scored.
Moving forward though, we have to incorporate both. We cannot just be content with just how we played against a bad Bayern team though I was ok with how we played Barcelona.
I mean think of it, Dortmund beat the crap out of Bayern. If Dortmund can do so, why can't we?
I like the new mindset that Mourinho has instilled at Real Madrid: solid on both fronts i.e offense and defense.

Drogba has made it official. He will be leaving.

Just like me in my living room.

I come home from school and i see this all over the news. I broke down in tears for Didier as there is no one who can replace him, he is indeed a Chelsea Legend. I love you Didier!!!

I confess I am a “new” fan. I never saw a Zola goal, or DiMateo or Wise. I became a Chelsea fan watching Lamps, and JT (unloveable as he can sometimes be), Ashely, and of course the Mighty One. I miss Carvalo, sometimes miss Robben's speed, and wonder if Ballack didn't have one more season for us. But Drogba? I won't miss his theatrics… that's a pat of the game i hate. But i will miss the look in the eyes when he sizes up a free kick, or the way he holds up a long ball for an on rushing midfielder, or those sharp turns that defy physics and gently land the ball at the base of the far post.
This team has too many legends, and not all of them can be Ryan Giggs. Of Lampard, JT, Ashley and maybe even Cech, not sure how many will remain in a year or to (if that). So the Mighty One leaves on his terms. So be it, and thanks for creating a fan.

-

What? Drogba is leaving? He said so?!? Let me check the newsfeed…just got here.

-

What a shocker!!! Surreal!!!

-

It's still not official though his interview in France Magazine is accurate. His exit is no longer rumor mongering but quite a possibility. A very high possibility. But still, Chelsea management has yet to confirm it. So until he officially leaves, he is still a Chelsea player. So he has not left yet, but but but the writing is on the wall that most likely it's the end for the one who has bled blue for a decade.

-

Well said Devin. Will forever be a legend at this club and has created one of the greatest memories as a fan I've ever had.

-

THIS IS HIS DESTINY!
So that's how I looked when I was having a full on panic attack during those penalties.

-

we should erect a giant ivory statue in his honor.
