Hey, it’s more ‘news’ on Luka Modric

I still think Modric would be a mighty useful addition to our midfield. He gives us far more creativity and range than any of our current crop. Hell, he's amongst the three best MFs in the Premier League. 

Do I think he'll arrive? Unlikely. I do think he still would like to join, however.

im a chelsea fan and i would love to see modric at chelsea and i reckon if we offer £40m again tottenham will accept. Also from the newcastle game modric didnt seem happy it might of been just because he had to play a more defensive roll but i think if hes not happy then modric to chelsea and tottenham getting £40m i think its a good deal for both sides.

I'm a blue from South Korea but frankly I'm confused about whether Chelsea should still purchase him with at least 40M Pounds......I mean with Fabreags gone back to his hometown Modric is undoubtedly the best playmaker in EPL among with Silva in Mancity, but is he really worth the price of 40M? We have Lamps, Meireles, Mikel, and McEachearn that can fulfill Modric's role....though gotta admit that these players are currently a bit behind of Modric.... I wish that with 40M pounds Chelsea buys a quality winger like Hazard, a multiplayer in the left side that can rotate with Cole or Mata which would be Ferriera, and an English CB such as Cahill in Bolton.

no more luka talk, its obvious he is not gonna be a blue, look at our history with public transfer sagas:

aguero  a few years back was courted, he even declared interest, and nothing cause of wage demands

neymar  public courtship for the last year and a half, i think he woud be a disaster in the EPL, dives more than micheal phelps

pato/pirlo  both courted after carlo signed  up, neither really interested, pirlo was too old, pato too expensive, nothing came of it

pastore apparently we offered quite a bit, but lost to lowly PSG, probably a good move for him, but i wonder if he ever was intersted in us, or did we just bid cause we like to do that, like a guy at auctions that bids on everything early, merely for the thrill of it.

in conclusion, chelsea never sign a publicized target, its part of einstein's theory of relativity, in fine print along the margins, of course

Amazing, with the current contract Modric is on a Spurs they don't need to offer him anything more. Let him stew if that's what he wants or he can take an income that many would cut off a limb for!

Berisso - Hazard wants to go to Barca or Madrid.

I think we could still do with Modric.
Meireles and Lampard are only temporary. Modric and Mata would be amazing.

He may want to go there but Barca are in too much debt to buy him and already have loads of forwards and Madrid wont have need for him once they sign Neymar. According to reports his 3rd choice would probably be Le Arse but the state their in he wont want to go there anymore. I actually think AVB will go for him at the end of the season and our team will look a little like this:

We wont sign a right-back because of AVB's faith in Bosingwa and Iva. Alex will obviously go and Cahill will come in. Kalou and Anelka will leave but Drogba will be offered the contract he wants.

I really don't get why everyone is bent on getting Mata off the left wing. He's great there because he can come into the middle and drag markers out of position, as well as providing really nice wide play.

Sturridge is probably best replaced by a better passer on the right and used an a backup striker/sub/auxiliary wing player. He's been scoring, but I'm not sure his overall performance has been that good.

We don't need Modric anymore, certainly NOT for 40M. Whatever he can do, Mata can do it and then Josh can play backup to Mata. What we need urgently is a true winger operating in tight space in the flanks. A Winger will truly add yet another dimension to the Chelsea offense. Hazard is a great option. Beyond that, we need a stronger right-back that can go a distance. 

All we need is Hazard and move Mata to right midfield similar to Silva at City and use Hazard as the left winger to match the speed of Sturridge. For creativity we can just use McEachran and Mata from midfield. I am loving the short small players Mata reminds me of Zola I think we can use some more speedy short players with acquisition of Hazard. For me Hazard and McEachran are the missing link to Chelsea so far.

Mata - Ineista because just like Iniesta he's quick and amazing passer of the ball
McEachran - Xavi because he's so relaxed and comfortable on the ball.
Hazard - Messi because he's so quick short fun to watch.
Luiz - Puyol because of his hair:P

I really hope this shipped has sailed already, i dont think we need modric anymore, we already have enough midfield depth and i dont really see any space for modric, if he comes it could only mean Josh doesnt count for AVB, hope this is not the case. i think what we actually need is a rightback and maybe a right winger. but im not longer intrested in the Modric Saga
