Cahill scores for England, Robben reminds us all what we’ve been missing
By: Jack | February 29th, 2012There were a number of international friendlies on Thursday’s docket, among them England hosting the Netherlands at Wembley. Cool story.
The Dutch ran out 3-2 winners thanks to the mercurial Arjen Robben, who once again reminded us Chelsea supporters just what could have been had he remained at the club rather than leaving in the summer of 2007. There was also a highlight for our newest defender, Gary Cahill. Cahill netted the Three Lions’ opener late on with what was a rather cool finish (even if the goalkeeping wasn’t exactly up to standard). I reckon we need to employ both Bob and Gary up top on recent evidence.
